These providers may process information only for authorized purposes and subject to applicable contractual obligations.

5.2 At Your Direction

We may disclose information when you request or authorize a share, publication, collaboration, or other disclosure.

5.3 Legal Compliance and Protection

We may access, preserve, or disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

5.6 Aggregated or Deidentified Information

Appie may use and disclose aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be linked to an identifiable individual.

Appie will not attempt to reidentify deidentified information except where permitted by law for testing privacy or security protections.

6. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Appie does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable California privacy law.

7. Data Retention

Appie retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:

  1. provide the Service;
  2. maintain accounts;
  3. meet legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations;
  4. resolve disputes;
  5. enforce agreements;
  6. prevent fraud and abuse;
  7. investigate copying or intellectual-property violations;
  8. maintain security; and
  9. preserve legitimate business records.

Retention periods depend on the type of information, the reason it was collected, legal requirements, user expectations, and security considerations.

Information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or disaster-recovery systems after deletion from active systems.

Appie may retain aggregated or deidentified information for a longer period.

8. Security

Appie uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information.

These safeguards may include access controls, encryption, authentication, logging, monitoring, backups, vendor management, and security testing.

No system, network, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your credentials and notifying Appie promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

  9. complain to a data-protection authority.

To submit a request, contact hovatar@gmail.com.

Appie may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Appie may deny or limit requests where permitted by law.

You may use an authorized agent where applicable, but Appie may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

Appie will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

10. California Privacy Notice

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended.

The categories of personal information Appie may collect are described in Section 2. The business or commercial purposes for collecting and using information are described in Section 3. The categories of recipients are described in Section 5.

During the preceding 12 months, Appie may have collected the following categories, depending on actual Service operation:

  1. identifiers;
  2. customer-record information;
  3. Internet or electronic-network activity;
  4. approximate geolocation information;
  5. user-generated content; and
  6. inferences based on interactions with the Service.

Appie does not sell or share any of these categories as those terms are defined under California law (see Section 6).

California residents may submit requests to know, correct, or delete personal information, or to obtain information about Appie’s disclosure practices, by contacting hovatar@gmail.com.

Appie does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

11. Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting Appie.

You may continue to receive non-promotional communications concerning your account, security, transactions, or the operation of the Service.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and Appie does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally valid parental consent.

If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact hovatar@gmail.com.

Appie may delete the information and terminate the related account.

13. International Data Processing

Appie and its service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries.

These countries may have privacy laws different from those in your location.

Where required, Appie will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other approved transfer mechanisms.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services.

A third party’s collection and use of information is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Appie is not responsible for privacy or security practices of services it does not control.

15. Do Not Track and Preference Signals

Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, Appie does not currently respond to them.

Appie does not sell or share personal information (see Section 6), so Global Privacy Control and similar opt-out preference signals have limited applicability. Where required by law, Appie will honor recognized opt-out preference signals for sale or sharing.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Appie may update this Privacy Policy.

The “Last Updated” date identifies the latest revision.

If Appie makes a material change, it will provide notice through the Service, by email, or through another legally appropriate method.
